Hi Everyone,
Now that the world is starting to open up again and Stage 3 is almost upon us in Toronto, coffee shops are starting to see life again – YAY! I was so sad to see some shut down permanently.
I have been craving an oat milk latte like no other, but unfortunately so many coffee shops are now rejecting reusable mugs; which makes that latte a little less appealing. Looking at local coffee shops across Canada, disposable items are on the rise due to COVID restrictions regarding in-house dining. Luckily, there are still a few cafes that realize the importance of lowering their carbon footprint and have not banned the “bring your own mug”.
After much research I have compiled a list of coffee shops that you can visit in Toronto (zero waste style).
East York’s best coffee shop, with cork walls and plant decor.
This cute cafe on Harbord St. has amazing quality food.
Amazing coffee, gelato and mini pancakes.
This cute little gem is across from the entrance to Trinity Bellwoods Park.
(Queen St. W Entrance)
This place is known for its relaxing atmosphere – art nouveau style and big comfy chairs.
An art gallery and coffee shop that makes a mean espresso.
