4 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Using Plastic at a COVID-19 Wedding.

In March 2020, our lives changed forever. In the events world, change became the new normal! We started enforcing social distancing, faced ongoing restrictions, and… we started to wrap everything in plastic! No really, everything.  

Keeping the safety of your guests a top priority, there are some questions you should be asking yourself before using plastic at your COVID-19 wedding. 

1. Can you use reusable containers? 

Many rental companies offer adorable bowls, plates, containers, and more to offer your food items in. If you are offering take-home food, guests will appreciate a high-quality and beautiful take-home container as a gift they can use for years to come. 

2. Can you have a server serving individual portions? 

Instead of having guests serve themselves plastic-wrapped goodies, have a server serve them! This will ensure there is no cross contamination between guests, and your guests get to experience premium service. 

3. Can you wrap in a more eco-friendly and food-safe wrapper, such as biodegradable or recycled paper?

4. Is it necessary? 

Do you really need this particular food item or party favour, or is it just a trendy idea? Are there alternative food options that could be served using less or no plastic?
